The Hints Wise and Otherwise (HWOW) is a staple of the treasure hunt. This is a key element required for much of the clue solving on the hunt. There are many very relevant pieces of information on the HWOW, as well as several "red herrings." Usually the HWOW is the first taste of the coming hunt for returning hunters. It gets the blood flowing and the mind working.
